Brando~a dressage dream!

September 2, 2010

I tagged along with my dear friend Christy (aka Axl to those who know her best!) as she competed with her stallion, Brando at MTSU earlier this summer.  Brando is not simply a beautiful horse.  No, no–you can tell just by looking that he is an absolute rock star!

Christy is the head of Equine Studies at Hiwassee College in East TN.  Along with competing and teaching, she also offers private instruction in basic riding and dressage.

I love you, Axl & Brando, and I’m so proud of you both!

Shayna & Cody ~ Carter High Prom

May 6, 2009

Ahhh to be young again! Shayna & Cody are graduating seniors at Carter High School. Before prom, we got together for a photo session to ensure the dress, the tux, and those gorgeous diamond earrings were captured beautifully–and I promised–NO CHEESY PROM POSING!

I wanted to photograph her getting gorgeous so I followed as Shayna’s beauty team got to work. We started with hair at Ema Lisa’s by Lisa Mitchell and makeup by the fabulous Candle Adkins from Spa 9700.

Then it’s my turn to fulfill my promise! Downtown we go…no park-like setting for these two. They like to hang in Market Square & The Old City…

Mr. Q and Ms. U ~ together ALWAYS!

April 30, 2009

Today, my 5 year old nephew, Bryson, got married. Yes, that’s right. I had the privilege of attending the beautiful union as Mr. Q and Ms. U joined together in holy alphabetrimony, forever linking Q with U in spelling bliss!

Here comes the bride & groom.

Vienna Waits for You

September 3, 2008

My new pal Anne-Geri’ Fann of Blue Mountain Travel Company asked me to shoot her pal Jeffrey Williams’ show at 3rd and Lindsley last Friday night. Now, I’m always up for a night on the town and some good music, but I didn’t realize that I would be in the presence of such AMAZING talent! Jeffrey is a musician/actor/vocal coach who put together a one-man-with-a-band-and-backup-singers show which follows a guy through his journey into adulthood via the songs of Billy Joel…WHO DOESN’T LOVE BILLY JOEL???
Check this Jeffrey kid out. You’ll be seeing him again!
Here are a few shots from the show.
