Morgan & Michael ~ Washington, D.C. ~ Engagement Photos

Morgan and Michael will be married in Nashville next year, but we shot their engagement session in D.C. where they live. It was a beautiful day with bright blue skies and warm sunshine all along the National Mall. Three amazing things happened:

1. I saw a solid black squirrel. A first for me.
2. I saw a sold white squirrel. Another first.
3. I had dinner at Nando’s! A first in the states. I got hooked on Nando’s while in South Africa, and sought it out while in London, Sydney, and Auckland. It’s about time the U.S. caught on.

OK, four amazing things.
4. I met M+M. And they rock. =0)

Loni & Brandon ~ Hendersonville, TN wedding ~ 10.10.09

Brrr! It was the first super chilly day of fall as Loni & Brandon tied the knot in Hendersonville. We planned to shoot the wedding party photos after the reception at a nearby park…only to find a huge fall festival going on. Luckily there was another nice spot not far away, so everyone braved the chillbumps after an interesting ride in an H2 limo. *Note: H2 limos don’t really fit on a truck-and-boat lined road.*

Harms Family Photos ~ Nashville

What a cute little family!

I met Holly years ago when we were co-workers at Arzelle’s. When she married Ben, we all joked that her name sounded like a superhero. “Holly Harms, Protector from Bridezillas” was born and soon the sketches of flaming red curls and flying capes became our stockroom art. =0)

Holly, Ben and Baby J met me at The Anchor Fellowship church in downtown Nashville for a quickie family session before they headed out for a vacay in Asheville. Baby J is such a sweet boy and he was all smiles and laughter the entire time. Please check out Baby J’s favorite band, The Glorious Unseen. He baby babbled in my ear that they will be my new favorites!

Jill & Mark ~ Hot Springs, NC wedding ~ 9.19.09

Jill & Mark were married at Fairview Methodist Church in Hot Springs, NC, amidst a beautiful mountain setting. After an abundance of, “Lord, please let it stop raining for a few hours” prayers, the sunshine popped out just long enough for the entire wedding and reception…and then the bottom dropped out! (Thanks for listening Big Man!)

Jill described herself as an “older, first-time bride,” but she was as nervous and giddy as a schoolgirl as she dressed and primped for her groom. It was adorable to watch and the ladies kept me smiling all afternoon. Mark was the most precious, attentive guy as he blotted Jill’s forehead and carried her train. Who said chivalry was dead?

Veil Night at Arzelle’s!

Jessica & Matthew’s Engagement session ~ Nashville, TN

Jessica & Matthew were engaged at Free Will Baptist Bible College so we started our session there before heading to Centennial Park. We had to fight the quickly setting sun, but we got a few fun shots in before darkness set in…and a few after as well! The wedding is coming up in early November. Can’t wait!

Michelle & Tim’s wedding ~ Nashville, TN ~ 8.29.09

Details, details, details! I love the little details! Michelle & Tim worked with Jennifer Milam of Reveal Event Style to create a posh setting for the wedding and reception at the home of Michelle’s parents in Green Hills. The weather was perfect and we took advantage of the beautiful sunshine poking through the shade trees on the property. These two were a pleasure to work with!

The customized fans were adorable!

Mr. Ross’s living room was turned into a ballroom! And what a beautiful cake by Dulce Desserts.

No detail was left unattended. The lanterns and chandeliers were gorgeous!

Michelle’s mom was the life of the party! I love this shot of her dancing with her daughter and dad cheering them on in the background. Sweet!

Julie & Seth’s Engagement Session ~ Downtown Nashville ~ 8.22.09

I really enjoyed my time with Julie & Seth! Seth brought along his guitar for a little serenade on the hill by LP Field. **sweet!!** He and Miss Julie will be married in October and I can’t wait to shoot the wedding. Here are some shots from our windy, but fun session:

Robyn & Jon’s wedding ~ 8.15.09 ~ St. Louis, MO

I couldn’t wait to shoot this wedding. Not only because Robyn and Jon (a.k.a. Schwarz) are friends of mine, but because I knew with most of the CTS Audio crew there, it would be a night to remember! Plus, spending the weekend in one of my favorite cities simply does not suck. =0) P and I even had time to take in a Cardinal’s game!



It was a grand ole time until a foul ball whizzed straight for me…and my $10K in camera equipment…
P and I both hovered over the gear just in time for the kid directly behind me to catch it!



The next day it was off to celebrate the big day! Robyn’s gorgeous Dere Kianggown was accented with tulle underneath the skirt in her theme color, pink!



The wedding ceremony was held at Solid Rock Ministries with the reception close by at Andre’s West. Hands down, the BEST green beans I’ve ever had!
