Jessica & Matt ~ 11.7.09

Lucky for Jessica & Matt (and me!), they chose the warmest day of fall to promise forever. They were married at Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church in Pleasant View, TN. We took advantage of the bright blue skies and autumn colored leaves by shooting some photos in the nearby field. Jessica’s warm color choices of chocolate, orange, and yellow accented the entire reception. My favorite moment was when Jessica’s sister cried as she gave her sis a goodbye hug. *sniff sniff* I may have shed a tear or two myself!

Jessica’s Bridal Portrait Session ~ 10.18.09

Beautiful location, beautiful bride! Jessica chose Twin Oaks Farm near Springfield, TN for her bridal portrait session. There were so many gorgeous locations to shoot! I’m so excited to finally show these photos–we had to wait until after the wedding so Matt’s prying eyes wouldn’t see.

Paula’s Bridal Portrait session ~ Cheekwood Botanical Gardens ~ Nashville, TN

Now that she’s a Mrs., I can post some shots from Paula’s bridal portrait session. After a nasty week of rain, we got a beautiful Sunday afternoon to shoot at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens. It’s such a beautiful location. I could’ve spent all day there with miss Paula! Check out her wedding to Ken here.

Paula & Ken’s wedding ~ Nashville, TN ~ 11.6.09

My friends Paula & Ken were married November 6th at Edgefield Baptist Church in East Nashville. They had a blue and red color scheme and the tallest cake I’ve ever seen courtesy of Sweet-N-Sassy Bakery! I couldn’t wait to photograph this wedding. P & K are so in love and it’s contagious!

Julie & Seth ~ Nashville, TN wedding ~ 10.17.09

Julie & Seth are just the cutest little couple, and they had a fun wedding party that kept me on my toes all night! They were married at Monroe Street United Methodist Church in the Germantown area of Nashville, with the reception at the Sheraton Music City Hotel. Although it was a chilly day, we took all of the group and family photos outside in front of the gorgeous arches of the church before heading down the street with the wedding party to a colorful wall mural of the Nashville skyline. Good times continued at the reception as guests took over the dance floor to reenact the knife fight scene to MJ’s “Beat It.” Hilarious!

The Painters on the farm ~ Family photo session ~ New Market, TN

I got together with the Painters again for some fall fun on the farm. Little Eli and Trey love John Deere tractors so we made that our focal point for the session. They had a great time climbing all over it and afterwards, it was hayride time!

Morgan & Michael ~ Washington, D.C. ~ Engagement Photos

Morgan and Michael will be married in Nashville next year, but we shot their engagement session in D.C. where they live. It was a beautiful day with bright blue skies and warm sunshine all along the National Mall. Three amazing things happened:

1. I saw a solid black squirrel. A first for me.
2. I saw a sold white squirrel. Another first.
3. I had dinner at Nando’s! A first in the states. I got hooked on Nando’s while in South Africa, and sought it out while in London, Sydney, and Auckland. It’s about time the U.S. caught on.

OK, four amazing things.
4. I met M+M. And they rock. =0)
